Bidgee Classic Fishing Competition
The annual Bidgee Classic Fishing Competition is held on the murrumbidgee River at Gogeldrie Weir Park. The competition attracts hundreds of anglers and encourages the catch and release of native species such as Murray Cod and Golden Perch. There are thousands of dollars worth of prizes in many different categories.
Proceeds from the event are used to restock the Murrumbidgee River system with native fingerlings. There are thousands of dollars worth of prizes in many different categories as well as live entertainment, activities for the kids, raffles and much more.
Whether you consider yourself an expert angler or a novice, the Bidgee Classic will ensure a great family weekend. Gogeldrie Weir Park is 26 kilometres from Leeton and an ideal picnic area for families with fantastic barbecue facilities, toilets, showers and a kiosk. Camping and on-site cabins also available.

City to Lake Fun Run
The City2Lake team aims to raise much needed funds for Can Assist Griffith.

Griffith Shaheedi Tournament
Every June long weekend the Sikh community hold a two day event at Ted Scobie Oval against the backdrop of Scenic Hill in Griffith. Enjoy traditional Indian cuisine throughout the day as well as soccer, tug-o-war, kabbadi: a wrestling sport originating from very early Indian civilisation, and athletic events for the kids.
This is a popular cultural event which attracts thousands of people to Griffith from around Australia and overseas, to compete in and watch the games and to enjoy the celebrations.

Festa delle Salcisse (Festival of the Sausage)

Griffith's Biggest Lap
Griffith’s Biggest Lap is a moving car show, with 500 vehicles travelling down Griffith’s main street, Banna Avenue. GBL encourages participants with vehicles shapes and sizes to enter their car into the lap. Or bring your fold up chair, pick a spot along Banna Avenue and enjoy watching the unique rolling car show and barbecue.
