Situated in the heart of Darlington Point, on the banks of the Murrumbidgee river, Tulluc cottage is the perfect holiday destination. This quiet village is just 35km from Griffith in the Riverina district of country NSW.
Darlington Point features an excellent walking track that follows the Murrumbidgee river as it winds around the village. The track is adjacent to the boundary of Tulluc Cottage. Why not take your lunch to the picnic table less then 200m from the back door, or discover one of the many sandy beaches you will pass as you stroll along the bush track. If you are feeling energetic you will appreciate the shade of the mighty red gums as you run along the banks of the river.
Just a short walk over the bridge in front of Tulluc Cottage is the town beach. This is a great spot to build sand castles, splash in the Murrumbidgee river or throw in a line and catch a Yellow Belly or a Murray Cod.
Once you have built up your appitite Tulluc Cottage offers many dinning options. For those who enjoy cooking there is a fully equipped kitchen with a large electric oven and 6 burner gas cooktop, or an alfresco BBQ area. It is a short walk to the supermarket and Heath's traditional family butchery for all your self catering supplies.
Those who prefer a break from cooking can simply walk 150m to the local Italian restaurant, Riverdestra, or the historic Punt Hotel for a counter meal. Just down the road is the "club" where you can find the popular Chinese restaurant. The club offers a courtesy bus service for those who would prefer not to drive.
When it comes time for simply relaxing Tulluc Cottage has plenty of options. Lie back on the large leather couch with the newspaper, or plug your iPod into the dock to listen to your favourite tunes through the quality surround sound system.
